Ink2Post

Write by hand. Publish anywhere.

Capacitor mobile app (iOS and Android) that photographs handwritten pages and converts them to editable, formatted, shareable digital text via a self-hosted vision-language model. An editor whose input method is a camera, not a scanner.

  • Package id: cafe.prometheus.ink2post (Digital Prometheus Inc.)
  • Backend: FastAPI on Phoenix (self-hosted GPU inference, OpenRouter failover)
  • Model: freemium. Free 5 extractions/month, Pro unlimited ($2.99/mo, $9.99/yr)
  • Web: prometheus.cafe (handwriting tester, help, privacy, terms)

Quick start (fresh clone)

npm install                      # then re-apply the proguard patch, see developer guide §3.2
npx cap copy ios android         # regenerate the native web assets
# iOS: open ios/App in Xcode → Clean Build Folder → Run
# Android: open android/ in Android Studio → Run

The app talks to production Phoenix by default (www/modules/config.js). Server code is in phoenix/, the edge failover Worker in cloudflare/extract-worker/. Secrets are never in this repo; see docs/operations.md §4.
